Join us for a free of charge, fabulous celebration of words. Try story times, decorating bookmarks, enjoy some song and dance. Definitely come dressed as your own favourite character. The Lord Lieutenant of Northumberland will join us, awarding prizes to young people for their work with words! Sing along with the Morpeth Allstars Community Choir. Have your photo taken with panto characters, dancers and a friendly dinosaur. Decorate a bookmark for the Festival trees. (This is a drop-in activity open to all ages). Story time sessions with author Gillian Richmond will need to be pre-booked - suitable for 3-6 year olds. A ticket covers one child and one adult. Gillian Richmond lives in Northumberland. A former chemistry teacher, her inspiration for writing rhyming stories began when her son started his own picture book journey as a young child, reading and choosing books from the local library and bookshops. Gillian’s first rhyming story, 'A House On A Hill' has been followed up by, ‘Fergus Leaper The Rescue Lighthouse Keeper’. Ticket booking free sessions for story time: 10:15 -10:45 A House on a Hill 11:15 - 11:45 Fergus Leaper The Rescue Lighthouse Keeper
